In 1987, my husband, Masao and I met Divine Mother in Hawaii. After our first meeting, we used to go to her home to meditate on the first Sunday of every month. We were so fortunate to have been given the mantra.

Growing up, I tried to be the “good girl” by doing and saying the right things. I felt for my mother having seen how much energy my three older brothers required. I didn’t want my parents to have to worry about me. I felt for my brothers, for I felt like they got the brunt of my father’s rage.

It’s not easy being a mother who’s lost a thirty-one year old son—my only child. This happened to me on May 17, 1999. Divine Mother had spoken of “when the big wave comes...” I am currently making plans for the inurnment and making decisions every mother should be spared—like what to do with his clothing, how to go about closing his bank accounts, what to say to his friends.

Being with Divine Mother for nearly three weeks in Europe was a privilege of a lifetime. We were able to experience a microcosm of how our beloved spiritual leader takes the Light to the world—through her Love, devotion, and unfaltering commitment to her highest vision.

During my childhood I remember having very loving parents, and very creative desires and inspirations. My brother and I could and would make just about anything we could think of to make. As I grew older I remember that this closeness to something inside slowly grew farther and farther away.

By 1983, my thirty-five-year life had become filled with anger, frustration and confusion. I really needed God in my life, but didn’t realize it.

When I first met Divine Mother, I was awe-struck that she had given up her entire life and a flourishing career to spread the Light to the world. Little did I know how completely Divine Mother, was to transform my entire life. This testimonial is offered in gratitude to Divine Mother.

Dreams really do come true, and the strength of prayer is so real. To be able to witness the power of Divine Mother’s Love yet again, was truly a blessing.

All my life I longed to know and love God. I remember as a child feeling voiceless, powerless and afraid of my father who was abusive. I remember finding refuge in my room and in crying to God for help.

I was an only child and grew up lonely and troubled. My parents always seemed to be fighting, and I do not recall ever being hugged, kissed or told that I was loved. I remember when I was about four or five years old, going out into the yard, looking up at the sky and asking God, “Why am I here?”

To look at the apparently normal, successful businesswoman that I appeared to be on the surface, one would never guess at the years of sexual, emotional and mental abuse that I had suffered since childhood. I had become a master of denial.

When I was still a young boy, I met Divine Mother. From the very moment I sat in front of her, I could feel her Love. Just being in her presence gave me a feeling of safety and peace that I never experienced before.

Praising God is the only way I can give thanks for the miracles in my life. It is such a joyful occasion to be given the opportunity to show my deep gratitude for what Divine Mother has done for me.

When I met Divine Mother in 1992, I was stuck in an unhappy, paranoid and suffering life. I was working for my father’s company, and dealing with his oppressive domination. I couldn’t even speak with my father due to my fear of him.

For most of my fifty years of living, I have never really been happy. Since my childhood days in Hawaii I was a prisoner to my fear, panic, and despair about life. I felt isolated and lonely and could never escape the pain of a dysfunctional childhood in which an abusive...

Since moving to Hawaii, I feel as though I have lived a lifetime. Truly, the Grace that I have received has been incredible.

As the last five years have gone by, Divine Mother’s Love and devotion to guide us towards our relationship to God have moved me towards true happiness and joy of living.

If I were to identify one slice of my life that meant the most to me, I would have to say that the three weeks that we spent in Geneva and London with Divine Mother would be the most precious time of my life.
